A.C. Milan Announce Roster Ahead of D.C. United Friendly

Washington, D.C. (May 13, 2010) - A.C. Milan released today a preliminary roster for the friendly against D.C. United. The international friendly will be played on May 26 at RFK Stadium at 8 p.m. ET. It will be the first-ever meeting between the two clubs.

Among the players confirmed are Brazilians stars Ronaldinho and Alexandre Pato, and Dutch midfielder Clarence Seedorf. Additionally goalkeepers Dida and Christian Abbiati; defenders Luca Antonini, Marek Jankulovski, Massimo Oddo, Giuseppe Favalli, Alessandro Nesta and Marcus Diniz; midfielders Ignazio Abate, Davide Di Gennaro, Mathieu Flamini and Massimo Ambrosini; and forwards Mancini, Filippo Inzaghi and Dominic Adiyiah are confirmed. Several more players will be added to the roster next week.

Tickets for this match are available as part of season ticket packages as Special Game C. Individual game tickets are on sale for $35 at the Spectator level, $50 at Premium level, $65 at VIP level and $75 at the Mezzanine level. Groups of 15 or more can purchase at discounted prices of $30 for Spectator level, $40 for Premium, $55 for VIP and $70 for Mezzanine level.

Founded in 1899, A.C. Milan is one of the most recognizable names in global football. In the club's considerable history the team has spent all but two seasons in the Italian top-flight. A.C. Milan has won 18 officially recognized UEFA and FIFA international titles, making them the most successful team in the world alongside Argentina's Boca Juniors. Milan has claimed four world club titles, more than any other side, having won the Intercontinental Cup on three occasions and the FIFA Club World Cup once.

Additionally, only Real Madrid has captured more European Cups than A.C. Milan. Known today as the UEFA Champions League, AC Milan has seven European Cups to accompany the team's 17 domestic titles. The Italian side currently sits in third place in Serie A.
