\'Dogs deal Pitirri to Elmira

Richmond, VA – The Richmond RiverDogs of the United Hockey League have traded veteran center Richard Pitirri to the Elmira Jackals for future considerations. Pitirri had 55 points in 75 games for the ‘Dogs last season.

"We are very appreciative of Richard's effort last season," said ‘Dogs GM Jeff Croop. "We want to give him the best opportunity to continue to play," Croop added. Pitirri, a native of Ontario, is a five year veteran. He has played with five pro clubs, including a stint with Portland of the AHL.

The ‘Dogs now have 12 players under contract for 2004-'05: Brian Goudie, Paul Johnson, J.F. Picard, J.J. Wrobel, Luch Nasato, Jami Yoder, David Brosseau, Francis Belanger, Jordan Roach, Jonathan Gagnon, Jeff Sanger, and Trevor Senn

The Richmond 2K Challenge continues. The ‘Dogs are looking for 2,000 season seats sold for the 2004/05 season. Season seats are on sale now for $320.00 in Center and End locations through August 1. For more information please call 225-PUCK (7825).
