IceHogs to introduce Kryptonite IceHogs Dancers

Rockford Ill.- The Rockford IceHogs will feature a brand new Dance Team during the 2004-05 season, and the Hogs announced Tuesday open tryouts to join the squad. The IceHogs will introduce the Kryptonite IceHogs Dancers this fall and interested girls can audition on Saturday, August 21 to dance on the ice! Auditions for the squad will begin with a 9:00 a.m. registration at The Dance Space dance studio located at 7123 Cherryvale Blvd. North. After the check-in the candidates will learn the choreography for a routine that will be used during the audition that begins at 7:00 p.m. outside Kryptonite, the proud sponsor of the IceHogs Dancers, located next to the IceHogs corporate office in downtown Rockford.
Registration packets for the Kryptonite IceHogs Dancers can be picked up at the IceHogs office, Kryptonite or at The Dance Space. Qualified candidates must be 18 years of age by August 31, 2004 and all the girls must hold a full time job or be a full time student. A registration fee of $10 for the audition is required and must be paid at or before the time of registration.
The auditions are open to the public to watch. The competition will also feature celebrity judges made up local media members. Following the auditions, the Kryptonite IceHogs Dancers team members will be announced.
The Kryptonite IceHogs Dancers responsibilities will include performing during intermissions at all 40 IceHogs home games, assisting with in-game and on-ice promotions during the games and making community appearance with the IceHogs players and staff throughout the season and off-season.
