\'Cats sneak by Silver Sox, winning 2-1

Edmonton, AB-The Edmonton Cracker-Cats followed up last night's dominating pitching performance, with another from starter, Nick Peterson, on their way to a 2-1 victory.

Peterson showed great control for the 5.1 innings he pitched, only allowing 3H, and 1ER with three strikeouts. The only run he allowed came off a single shot to right field from Socks infielder, Steven Alexander.

Kevin Piccirillo had the start for the Silver Sox. His final numbers were 5.2IP, 6H, 2ER, 3BB, with 4strikeouts.

The Cats got on the board in the second inning, when Jose Infante singled to center field to score in Chris Van Rossum.

The game winning RBI came in the bottom of the sixth off the bat of Van Rossum who singled into left field to score in Jose Morban from second.

Pete Sikaras came into the ninth, and struck out three batters to end the game.
