Carolina Mudcats News Release
Zebulon, NC --- The Cincinnati Reds have made one transaction impacting their Double-A affiliate Carolina Mudcats prior to tonight's game with the Huntsville Stars.
RHP Matt Klinker has been reassigned to the Mudcats from Triple-A Louisville. Klinker made a pair of starts for the Bats, and returns to the Southern League as the ERA leader in the league (1.53). Klinker will start tonight against the Stars, hoping to help snap Carolina's six-game losing streak.
Klinker will take the rotation slot of LHP Alexander Smit, who retired from baseball earlier in the week.
