67's Trade Cranley to Firebirds

OTTAWA - The Ottawa 67's announced, today, that they have traded goaltender Will Cranley to the Flint Firebirds, in exchange for a conditional 15th-round pick in the 2026 Ontario Hockey League Priority Selection.

"We would like to wish Will the very best in all his future endeavours," said General Manager James Boyd.

A native of Peterborough, Ontario, Cranley was selected 35th overall by Ottawa in the 2018 OHL Priority Selection. He went on to appear in 73 games with the team, posting a record of 35-27-5.

Cranley was selected in the sixth round, 163rd overall, by the St. Louis Blues in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft, and signed a three-year entry-level contract with the team on March 2. He will be an overage player, this season.

The Barber Poles will look ahead to the 2022 Canadian Hockey League Import Draft tomorrow, July 1, at 11am ET.
