66ers Race by Armor to Earn Fifth Consecutive Win

TULSA, Okla. - Ryan Reid posted a double-double with 16 points and 13 rebounds, Lazar Hayward notched 16 points and a team-high six assists and Marcus Lewis earned his 30th double-double of the season to lead the Tulsa 66ers (21-22) to a 97-88 home victory over the Springfield Armor (22-18) Saturday night.

The win was Tulsa's fifth consecutive and the second straight over Springfield this weekend.

Lewis, who currently leads the NBA D-League in double-doubles this season, recorded a team-high 27 points, 15 rebounds, three blocked shots and two steals.

As a team, the 66ers racked up 21 assists and outrebounded the Armor by a 52-42 clip.

Tulsa, who led by as many as 18 on the night, was strong on the defensive end by holding Springfield to 30-of-90 (.333) shooting overall. The 66ers also forced 16 turnovers and created nine steals.

"I thought tonight we came out with a great attitude and effort on both ends of the floor," 66ers head coach Dale Osbourne said. "Springfield made a push at the end, but I thought our guys made the plays down the stretch to earn the win."

Springfield was led by JamesOn Curry with a team-high 21 points and nine rebounds. Dennis Horner paced the Armor with five assists.

The 66ers return to action next Friday and Saturday, March 23 and 24, at home against the Iowa Energy. Both contests are scheduled to tip at 7 p.m. CT inside the Tulsa Convention Center.
