66ers clain third consecutive victory

TULSA, Okla., March 10, 2007 - The Tulsa 66ers of the NBA Development League made a strong second quarter surge in tonight's game at Expo Square Pavilion against the Arkansas RimRockers to seal the deal, winning their third straight home victory 110-96.

Tulsa outrebounded the RimRockers 50-43 and shot 53 percent from the pine and 72 from the line, compared to Arkansas' 41 field goal percentage and 53 percent from the charity stripe.

"It feels good to win three in a row," said Tulsa head coach Joey Meyer. "Our guys may finally be getting their rhythm down together. I'm anxious to see how these next 10 games play out for us. I hope it's a good stretch."

Tulsa was led by guards Desmon Farmer and Alan Anderson with 19 points each. Anderson also grabbed 4 assists and rebounds before fouling out of the game in the fourth quarter. Marcus Vinicius, on assignment from the New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets, and Will Conroy, both had the only double-doubles of the night. Vinicius added 18 points to his 15 rebounds, while Conroy chipped in for 11 points and 13 assists. Damir Markota (11), recently assigned by the Milwaukee Bucks, Denham Brown (11), and Cezary Trybanski (10) added to Tulsa's seven players scoring in double figures tonight.

Arkansas forwards Clay Tucker and Roger Powell led the RimRockers in scoring with 22 points a piece. Three other RimRockers also scored in double-figures including Anthony Roberson with 16, Tyrone Sally for 13 and JR Pinnock with 12.

Tulsa travels to Fort Worth on Tuesday, March 13 to take on the Flyers at 7 p.m. A northern road trip to Bismarck and Sioux Falls will bring the 66ers back to the home court on Wednesday, March 28, to meet with the Albuquerque Thunderbirds at 7 p.m.
