66ers Add Three Firework Shows to Robust Promotional Schedule

San Bernardino, CA - The Inland Empire 66ers, California League affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels, announced on Thursday the addition of three firework shows to what is an already robust promotional schedule. The additional firework show dates that were announced were Saturday, April 30th , Friday June 10th , and Friday August 26th . These shows are in addition to the July 4th post-game fireworks extravaganza presented by Nissan of San Bernardino.

"There's no better marriage than baseball and fireworks," Inland Empire General Manager Joe Hudson said. "We always strive to provide the Inland Empire with first rate entertainment, this is just another example of that commitment."

Previously the 66ers were unable to add fireworks to the 2016 promotional schedule due to construction on the lands surrounding the ballpark. With the help of city officials, the city of San Bernardino Fire Department and the San Bernardino County Fire Department the 66ers were able to come up with an alternative for the 2016 season.

"We would like to first thank the city and fire departments for all their hard work and helping us find a solution in order for the club to shoot fireworks for the upcoming season," added Hudson. "The addition of fireworks to the promotional slate really completes our promotional lineup."

The 66ers promotional calendar already features 15 theme nights and 36 promotional giveaways including four in the first homestand that features the team's magnet schedule giveaway (4/14 - Hatfield Buick GMC), the team's SB Strong Hat giveaway (4/15 - Optimal Sport Nutrition), (4/16 - Jered Weaver Fleece Blanket Giveaway - San Bernardino Division of Integrated Waste and California Recycle) and T-Shirt Giveaway (4/19 - SB Sun, Children Our Are Future).

The 66ers season open their season tonight at 6:30 pm from Adelanto, CA as the Sixers take on the High Desert Mavericks. The 66ers home opener at San Manuel Stadium is slated for April 14th at 7:05 pm versus the San Jose Giants.
