Inland Empire 66ers News Release
San Bernardino, CA: The Inland Empire 66ers Professional Baseball Club and Molly's Cafe have teamed up for a foodie endeavor known as the Burrito Kong Challenge. The challenge, which starts March 23rd, consists of two brave eaters with the task of taking down a loaded eight-pound burrito from Molly's Café.
Contestants will be allowed 30 minutes to complete eating the eight-pound "Burrito Kong Challenge". If the duo has completed its plate in the half-hour allotted, ever-lasting fame as well as prizes from both the 66ers and Molly's Café will be each team's reward.
Winners will receive a t-shirt from Molly's Café upon successful completion of the "Burrito Kong Challenge". They will also receive Hospitality Suite tickets to a mutually agreed upon Inland Empire 66ers Professional Baseball game.
"Two of our bravest front office staff members attempted the "Burrito Kong Challenge" and were gallant yet unsuccessful," 66ers Director of Marketing Matt Kowallis said. "The meal was delicious, but eight pounds is a gigantic feat. We know that there are plenty of people in the Inland Empire that can defeat the Kong."
The cost of the "Burrito Kong Challenge" is $40 and takes place at Molly's Café on 350 North D Street in San Bernardino. Reservations for the challenge must be made with Molly's Café at least 24 hours in advance by calling (909) 888-1778.
The 66ers open their 2015 minor league campaign on Thursday April 9th at 7:05 pm versus the Stockton Ports at San Manuel Stadium. Season tickets for 2015 are available by calling (909) 888-9922.
