The Chico Outlaws scored five runs in the 5th inning to put the Flyers to bed Tuesday night at Nettleton Stadium in an 8-2 win.

The Outlaws sent 10 men to the plate in the 5th against SP Mike Woolery, who gave up eight runs in his second consecutive tough start. Daniel Nava had the big hit with a two-run double.

Chico jumped out quickly in the game when Scott Dragicevich drilled a three-run homerun to make it 3-0 Outlaws in the 1st inning.

The Flyers answered with runs in the 2nd and 3rd innings driven in by Buddy Morales and Rich Pohle.

Orange County dropped back to 17-16 in the second half and are firmly planted in third place in the GBL standings.

The rubber match of the three-game series will be Wednesday at 7:05 p.m. on KWRM 1370 AM and orangecountyflyers.com.
