30th Anniversary Promo Schedule Includes Dorn, Doug E. Doug, Long Bow Bundy and Much More

FREDERICK, MD - The Frederick Keys celebrate their 30th anniversary season in 2018 and fans will be treated to a fun-filled promotional schedule. Highlights include appearances by stars from the movies Major League and Cool Runnings and player appearances by members of the Washington Capitals and Washington Redskins. Additionally, the Cowboy Monkey Rodeo returns for two nights as do weekend fireworks, with 23 shows on this year's schedule. Bobblehead fanatics can also get excited for a special bobblehead featuring former Keys star, Dylan Bundy.

One of the most popular baseball movies of all-time, the Keys celebrate the often-quoted hit film, Major League, on Saturday, May 12 at 6 p.m. Gates open at 5 p.m. and fans can meet and get autographs from Corbin Bernsen, who played third baseman, Roger Dorn. A two-time Golden Globe nominee, Bernsen also starred as Arnie Becker on the hit TV series L.A. Law. Other TV credits for Bernsen include JAG, The Young and the Restless, General Hospital, Psych and The Cape.

One night before Bernsen drops by Nymeo Field, fans can celebrate the 25th anniversary of Cool Runnings. This includes a visit by Doug E. Doug who played Sanka Coffie in the film. Game time is at 7 p.m. and Coffie will sign autographs from 6-8 p.m. Outside of Cool Runnings, other roles for Doug have included Agent Zeke Kelso in That Darn Cat to go with small screen roles on The Cosby Show and Law and Order among others.

A variety of athlete appearances are on the books for Family Fitness Weekend, presented by Premiere Dental Arts, from May 18-20. By popular demand, things will kick off with an appearance by a former member of the Washington Capitals. A 16-year NHL veteran, Mike Knuble visits Nymeo Field on Friday, May 18 when the orange and black battle Myrtle Beach at 7 p.m. The former right winger will throw out a first pitch and do an autograph session, while the Keys will wear special hockey jerseys with proceeds going towards Play 4 The Cure. Knuble played 220 games with Washington from 2009-12.

On May 19, fans can start thinking about football season when former Washington Redskins Santana Moss and Gary Clark drop by Nymeo Field. Sponsored by PMSI, the duo will sign autographs from 5-7 p.m. Moss played 10 years with the Redskins, earning All-Pro honors in 2005, while Clark won two Super Bowls with Washington and is a member of the organization's Ring of Fame.

Rounding out the list of sports and entertainment celebrities is WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash, who visits Frederick on Friday, June 29 at 7:00 p.m. Patrons can meet and get autographs from the six-time world champion and also pick up a "Longbow Bundy" bobblehead. Sponsored by Flying Dog Brewery, this item will showcase current Orioles starting pitcher, Dylan Bundy, taking part in one of his favorite pastimes-hunting.

For the second consecutive year, the nationally-acclaimed Cowboy Monkey Rodeo will perform two shows on Stadium Drive. Taking place on Friday, June 15 at 7 o'clock and Saturday, June 16 at 6 o'clock, this one-of-a-kind exhibition features monkeys dressed like cowboys riding dogs as though they were horses while herding goats.

Youngsters can be excited for the return of the Candy Drop on Sunday, April 22. Following the Keys 2 p.m game against the Wilmington Blue Rocks, a "candycopter" will unload 200 lbs of sweet cargo onto the outfield. Kids also will not want to miss Keyote's LEGO-themed birthday party on Friday, June 1. This includes visits from LEGO Batman and Emmett from the LEGO Movie.

Like Cool Runnings, Jurassic Park celebrates its 25th anniversary and the team has plenty of fun in store on Friday, July 20. Fans can sit inside and take pictures of a Jeep replica from the movie, see dinosaurs and bid on a special Keys hats. Money raised supports Heartly House.

As always, fireworks nights will be a big part of weekend home games. These displays follow Friday and Saturday evening contests as well as other select nights during the year. This includes games on Monday, July 2 and Tuesday, July 3 as part of Fourth of July weekend. All fireworks shows will be artist-themed. Fan vote fireworks return as well, with Keys faithful getting a chance to pick the musical accompaniment on the first home Friday of each month.

The Keys feature a myriad of great giveaways throughout the year including a Keys floppy hat giveaway on May 12 presented by Ava's T21 Foundation and Bray & Scarff and a Trey Mancini shirsey courtesy of Nymeo on June 1.

Excellent giveaways will be complemented by three jersey auctions and two hat auctions throughout the year. To go along with a hockey jersey on May 18, Keys players and coaches will wear special jerseys on August 10 as part of Cancer Awareness Night. Proceeds from the auction go to the American Cancer Society. The annual Art in the Park Night will feature a jersey design by a local artist. Taking place on August 31, proceeds benefit the Frederick Arts Council.

Hat auctions are slated for Tuesday, July 3 and Friday, July 20. To go along with a Jurassic Park-themed hat on July 20, the former is a patriotic lid with money going towards the Coalition to Salute America's Heroes.

Three Meet the Teams are scheduled for April 14, June 3 and August 12. These autograph sessions with Keys players and coaches take place from 1-1:30 p.m on the field prior to the club's 2 o'clock starts.

Ticket plans are currently available for the 2018 season by contacting the Keys Groups Department at 301-815-9900 and single game tickets go on sale on Friday, April 6 at 10 a.m. Each fan who purchases a ticket plan will have their choice of a Trey Mancini or an Austin Hays bobblehead.
