May 24, 2019 - United Soccer League Championship (USL)
Nashville SC News Release

NASHVILLE - Nashville Soccer Club and Indy Eleven came into the 2019 USL Championship season as the two clubs who made the biggest offseason splash signings and could be vying for the top of the table in the Eastern Conference. Through the first third of the season, both clubs are holding serve, each currently positioned in the top five of the table. The match kicks off at 6 p.m. CT at Lucas Oil Stadium and will be broadcast on MyTV30 locally in Nashville.

1) A Chance to Exorcise Demons - Nashville SC made the USL Cup Playoffs in its inaugural season because of its ability to earn results. Between wins and draws, Nashville earned results in 25 of 34 matches, only losing nine matches all season. Indy Eleven was responsible for two of those losses, becoming the only team to beat Nashville twice in 2018. Nashville will have a chance at a matter of revenge by taking points from Indy on the road.

2) Legendary Voice on the Broadcast - Award-winning broadcaster Pete Weber, known in Music City as the voice of the Nashville Predators, will be on the call for the TV broadcast of the Nashville SC match on MyTV30. Weber's career has taken him on TV and radio through the NBA, NFL, NHL, college football and minor league baseball. Since the Preds inception in 1998-99 season, Weber has served as the voice of the team for 15 years on TV and more recently on radio. Weber called a Nashville SC match last year on the radio, and will be stepping into the TV booth for the first time for NSC on Saturday.

3) Watch Party at Chago's Cantina - Nashville SC is throwing an official watch party at Chago's Cantina for the match. There will be drink and food specials starting at 5:30 p.m. for the match at 6 p.m. The specials will include $2 domestic drafts, $3 craft drafts, $5 double cheeseburgers or veggie burgers and half off select appetizers. Nashville SC staff will be on hand for giveaways, including merchandise and tickets to see an upcoming home match for the Boys in Gold.
