WHAT: Sparks City Council to officially proclaim June 1 as "Kevin Partida Day" during Council Meeting
WHEN: Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at 2:00 p.m.
WHERE: Council Chambers, Legislative Building, 745 4th Street, Sparks, NV
WHY: Sparks High School Soccer standout Kevin Partida went on to play college soccer at the University of Las Vegas. The midfielder was drafted by the San Jose Earthquakes ahead of the 2018 season, and then signed to Reno 1868 FC. In June of 2018, Kevin was signed to a season-long loan with the Earthquakes, and re-signed with the MLS club for the 2019 season. Partida is an example of a local soccer player making it to the Major League Soccer level and is an example for youth in our area.
