1. Red Wolves Look to Continue flying form

The Red Wolves did what they do so well against North Texas SC Tuesday night at CHI Memorial Stadium. Much like Rocky, Obleda's side has prided themselves on an uncanny ability to take punches and dish them back twice as hard. When Juan Galindrez scored in the dying minutes of stoppage time Tuesday night, many would have been shocked after watching a game that seemed to have died out 20 minutes earlier. But Red Wolves supporters have learned better than to count this side out, even in the face of adversity.

Attention turns to league leaders Union Omaha in a match that is being billed as the most important so far in USL League One this season. Union Omaha comes to CHI Memorial Stadium Saturday night looking for revenge from a late stoppage time equalizer in the last meeting from Marky Hernandez at Werner Park. It is a feeling that many other sides will be familiar with, the Cardiac Red Wolves and their superb ability to change matches at the death.

2. League Leaders Union Omaha Look to Solidify Themselves at the top of the USL League One Standings

Union Omaha will be coming to Chattanooga Saturday with somewhat of a chip on their shoulder. League Leaders and unbeaten in their last ten games, Manager Jay Mims and his side tout the best defense in USL League One. They have only conceded a remarkable 11 goals in 15 matches so far, and for their efforts have the best goal difference in USL League One with a +10.

Union Omaha's last match out was a signature, scrappy low scoring affair that saw them secure a 1-0 win away to Fc Tucson at Kino North Stadium. Courtesy of a Mohamed Kone own goal, the leaders scrapped their way to another clean sheet and three points. Former Red Wolf Greg Hurst has led the line for the squad so far, tallying nine goals including the goal against the Red Wolves at Werner Park. In addition to an impressive number 9, Omaha has found consistency in goalkeeper Rashid Nuhu, who sits tied for first place the top of the league with 5 clean sheets so far in the 2021 campaign.

3. What to Watch for and What to Expect

It will be a classic case of unstoppable force against immovable object Saturday night, as the best defense in the league in Union Omaha attempts to slow down the highest scoring attack in the league in the Red Wolves. In addition to the collective success both sides have found on the pitch, they have also found individual success as well. Greg Hurst and Juan Galindrez both sit in the league's top 5 in goals scored, with 9 and 8 to their names respectively.

The two sides also have fantastic playmaking ability, evident in Ricky Ruiz's early season dominance in racking up 7 assists. For Union Omaha, Conor Doyle leads the way with 5 assists and Devin Boyce comes second with 3. Not to mention, an unreal 65,535 assists from the backline from what clearly must be the leading MVP frontrunner in Jason Ramos.

The Heavyweight Bout for first place kicks off at 7 PM ET / 4 PM PT Saturday, August 19, with the Red Wolves looking to extend an unbeaten run while also cementing themselves as the frontrunners in USL League One. Fans will get to enjoy the first-ever fireworks show at CHI Memorial at the conclusion of the game!
