That's right SteepleCat fans, just three days until your favorite team takes the field at the Joe to kick of their 11th season here in North Adams! Following their opening game in Sanford, Maine, your 2012 SteepleCats will make their season debut at picturesque Joe Wolfe Field on Friday, June 8th at 6:30 against the Vermont Mountaineers. Join us at The Joe to welcome this year's roster of players and coaches and kick-off the 2012 season in style with a big crowd, a victory, and a post-game fireworks display.
Remember fans, following that game against the Mountaineers, the organization will host its first postgame fireworks celebration of the season so be sure to stick around after the last out is recorded!
PLAYERS ARRIVE IN NORTH ADAMS!
That's right fans, the SteepleCats are back in town! The players arrived in North Adams on Sunday and have already started getting into the swing of things, preparing to start the 2012 season.
Most of the roster has filled in and the team has already held two practices and have rafted the Deerfield River, kicking off what is sure to be a fun and successful season. Coach Adamski and the coaching staff are excited to begin the season and looking forward to seeing our fans fill The Joe in black and gold on Friday night.
OPENING WEEK ACTIVITIES
FREE YOUTH CLINIC
Wednesday, June 6 at 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
Children 8 and older are invited to a free baseball/softball clinic with the SteepleCats' players and coaches on Wednesday, June 6 at Joe Wolfe Field. Children will have the chance to work beside members from this year's roster, including A10 Player of the Year Jeff Roy (URI), Bryan Soloman (Eastern Kentucky U.), an infielder who hit 14 home runs this year; Conor Biggio (Notre Dame); a switch-hitting infielder from Texas, Shane Klemcke (UTPA); and a few familiar faces from past seasons in Charlie Law (Rutgers) and Tyler Gebler (Rutgers); in addition to this year's new Manager, Bryan Adamski and his coaching staff. SteepleCats players and coaches will work with the children on pitching, fielding, hitting, and baserunning.
Following the clinic, the SteepleCats will conduct their final practice before the season begins on Thursday in Sanford, Maine. Admission is free and open to the public. Fans can meet and take photos with the players throughout the evening and after down the leftfield line. The concession stand and merchandise stands will be open.

The SteepleCats 2012 season has finally arrived. Join us on Friday night for the SteepleCats home opener. Show your support to this year's roster by filling the stands and wearing your black and gold colors. The 1st 500 Fans will receive a Beach Ball compliments of Hoosac Bank and will be treated to a fireworks display at the completion of the game compliments of T&M Auto Sales, Village Ambulance Service, Aladco, Racing Mart, Pete's Gun Shop, HD Reynolds Sales and CW Construction. Don't forget, the concession will feature an opening night special...BBQ pulled pork sandwiches! First pitch is scheduled for 6:30. See you there. GO CATS!

Sunday, June 10 at 4:30 (that's right, 4:30 fans)
Sundays at Joe Wolfe Field are going to be busy for the SteepleCats this year as 7 of the 22 home games will be played on Sunday. To begin the season, the SteepleCats will be hosting the former Western Division rival Mystic Schooners. A special start time of 4:30 has been selected for the first three Sunday's of the season so the entire family can enjoy an evening at the ballpark. Hot dogs for a dollar!? Yes, every Sunday will be $1 hot dogs at the Joe! A special rememberence for a SteepleCats dear friend who is missed, Marylou Garrity, will be held prior to the game and include her husband, Tim, and son, Connor, throwing out the first pitch.
