3-1 Victory Keeps Blues in First

In last night's matchup between the Pittsfield Suns and Bristol Blues, the Blues were able to hold their spot in first place in the West Divison with a 3-1 win.

The Blues were led offensively by the California Duo- Davis Strong and Austin Chauvin- combining for two RBI's on two hits and Ryan Costello, who had two hits including an important triple with a run scored.

Ryan Lauria was the Bristol Blues starting pitcher and went four innings and allowed only a run, a good start for the pitcher coming off of Tommy John surgery. Rayne Supple earned the win for the Blues in three innings of work, where he only allowed two hits and did not allow a run. Losing pitcher for the Suns was Corey Wilson.

The Blues are back on the diamond tomorrow, July 7, as the Blues head to Worcester to take on the Worcester Bravehearts. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05pm at Holman Field.
