PITTSBURGH - Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC will have its 2019 playoff match against Birmingham Legion FC rebroadcasted on 22 The Point (WPNT) from 4-6 p.m. on Saturday, April 25.
During the 2019 USL Championship postseason, Pittsburgh met Birmingham in the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals for a game that originally took place on Oct. 26, 2019, at Highmark Stadium in front of a sellout crowd of 5,627 fans. The Hounds put on an all-time performance, winning this match by a score of 7-0.
The Black and Gold set multiple team records that night. The team's seven goals are the most it had ever scored in a playoff game and ties a mark it had only reached on three other occasions. Former Hound Neco Brett scored four of these goals, which propelled him to be the club's all-time leading goalscorer in postseason history.
This match also marked the team's first-ever playoff win at the venue of Highmark Stadium.
