Overview: Maya Caldwell returned to Indiana in 2023 after being drafted by the Fever in 2021. After making her WNBA in debut in 2022 with Atlanta, Caldwell averaged 1.9 points, 0.9 rebounds, 0.6 assists and 10.1 minutes per contest in 30 games played. The second-year guard finished tied for third on the team in free throw percentage at 85.7 percent. Caldwell started one game in 2023 on July 12 against the New York Liberty.
Notable Performances:
June 15: At the Chicago Sky, Caldwell came off the bench to help the Fever defense stymie Marina Mabrey in the fourth quarter. Caldwell played all but seven seconds in the fourth quarter and held Mabrey to only three of her 36 points scored in the final quarter. Caldwell tied a season-best six points scored as well.
July 5: At the Minnesota Lynx, Caldwell scored six points again to go along with two assists.
