Acquired: Selected with 47th pick of the 2023 NBA Draft by the Los Angeles Lakers; draft rights traded to the Indiana Pacers. King played with the Mad Ants under a NBA Draft rights.
Overview: After becoming the third New Zealand born player to ever be picked in the NBA Draft (Sean Marks and Steven Adams), King joined the Mad Ants after spending the previous season in the NBA G League with the G League Ignite.
After injuries started his season, King made his Mad Ants debut on January 13 in Maine and played 15 games with the franchise this season. He averaged 3.9 points per game as he battled injuries throughout the season.
King returned from an injury on March 8 at Raptors 905 and had a season best performance with 19 points in 15 minutes, adding two blocks in his appearance.

January 13, 2024: King made his season debut at Maine with seven points. March 8, 2024: In a win at Raptors 905, King scored a season best 19 points on 7-of-10 shooting and also hitting three three pointers.
