Greenville Triumph SC News Release
Greenville, SC - The Greenville Triumph Soccer Club will once again partner with local CW affiliate WYCW-62 to bring Triumph soccer to local television, as WYCW will air Saturday's 2021 USL League One Final, live from Union Omaha's Werner Park at 5:00 PM EST on November 20th. The rematch of the covid-cancelled 2020 League One Final, which was also set to be shown on The CW, will see the league's top two seeds battle for a league title.
"We're so excited to be able to bring a championship match to local TV," said Triumph chief brand officer Doug Erwin. "WYCW has been such a fantastic partner for us across the last two seasons, and they jumped at the chance to bring this Final to the homes of fans and supporters across the Upstate."
Saturday's match will mark the third meeting between the two clubs this season. They drew 1-1 in May at Greenville's Legacy Early College in front of a national television audience on ESPN2, and the Triumph upset Union Omaha 1-0 in Werner Park last month. Both clubs enjoyed a bye in the opening round of the 2021 USL League One Playoffs before multi-goal wins in their respective semifinal matchups.
The 2021 USL League One Final will be shown locally on WYCW-62, streamed nationally on ESPN+ and internationally on YouTube. The match can also be heard on SiriusXM FC. The Greenville Triumph Soccer Club will host an official watch party at The HabiTap, located just off Woodruff Road.
