2017 Steelhawks Training Camp Underway

Allentown, PA : The Lehigh Valley Steelhawks have officially kicked off their 2017 NAL season. The 'Hawks will have two weeks of training camp sessions in The Rink at Lehigh Valley (3323 7th Street, Whitehall, PA), the Official Practice Facility of the Steelhawks. The annual LVHN Black vs. Gold Scrimmage will conclude Lehigh Valley's preseason on Saturday, March 11th, 7:30am.

Skill players have already reported and are competing this week. Lineman will join them this Friday and then it's time for to break camp with the Annual LVHN Black vs. Gold inter squad scrimmage on Saturday, March 11th. Again, all camp sessions are at The Rink at Lehigh Valley this year and the Black vs. Gold Scrimmage will be open to the public. There is already a battle going on at multiple positions.

"The 2017 National Arena League season is finally here and we are off and running with the start of our skills camp," stated Steelhawks Head Coach Chris Thompson. "Our ownership, front office and coaching staff did a tremendous job again this off-season in putting this camp roster together and getting everything ready for the upcoming NAL season. This is an exciting time and season for us, as we look forward to welcoming all of our returning vets and incoming rookies to the Lehigh Valley and building some new and exciting rivalries with all of the talented NAL teams. Sunday, March 19th is going to be here in no time and I can't wait to see the PPL Center rocking with the best 9th man fans around for the start of Steelhawks 2017 Arena Football season."

The Annual Black vs. Gold scrimmage will be at the conclusion of camp and is the first opportunity for fans and media to see the 'Hawks in full pads playing 8 v. 8 style football.

Steelhawks two week training camp sessions are listed below. All practices are held at The Rink at Lehigh Valley. Current schedule is as follows:

Wednesday, March 1st 9:00-11:00pm

Thursday, March 2nd 9:00-11:00pm

Saturday, March 4th 9:00-11:00pm

Sunday, March 5th 8:30-10:30pm

Monday, March 6th 9:00-11:00pm

Tuesday, March 7th 6:00-8:00pm - Season Ticket Holder Pick-up Party at Big Woody's

Wednesday, March 8th 8:30-10:30pm

Thursday, March 9th 8:30-10:30pm

Saturday, March 11th 7:30-9:00am - Black vs. Gold Scrimmage (Open to Public/Media)
