August 12, 2015 - Major League Soccer (MLS)
Columbus Crew SC News Release
COLUMBUS - Columbus Crew SC today announced that Season Ticket Memberships for the 2016 Major League Soccer season are now on sale. During this special pricing window, current Season Ticket Members also have the opportunity to save when they extend for the 2016 campaign. Furthermore, effective today through September 25, new and existing Season Ticket Members that purchase their season tickets for 2016 also have the opportunity to simultaneously pre-purchase seats to potential 2015 MLS Cup Playoff home matches before the general public.
All of MAPFRE Stadium's premium seating areas, including Premier East, Center Circle and the Scotts Field Seats, currently have a waiting list that interested supporters can join on the Membership page of ColumbusCrewSC.com. The Lower Sideline and the Nordecke feature 2016 Membership pricing that has either decreased or stayed level, respectively, in pricing from 2015.
"Crew SC Season Ticket Memberships have grown over 1,000 seats since the end of last season and overall paid attendance at MAPFRE Stadium is up year over year," said Crew SC President of Business Operations Andy Loughnane. "We will continue to establish MAPFRE Stadium as an intimidating environment for opponents to play each and every match, and we are incredibly thankful for the momentum and support that our Season Ticket Members have generated. With the launch of the extension period, we encourage Members to take advantage of the early pricing window and guarantee their spot at potential 2015 postseason matches and the 2016 season."
The 2016 season is set to feature two noteworthy changes to MAPFRE Stadium's Membership seating. A new pricing level, Upper Midfield, is being added to the stadium map. Additionally, the popular supporter section in the northwest corner of the stadium, the Nordecke, is slated to expand beyond its current Sections 101 and 139-142 into the top half of Section 102 due to supporter demand. The adjustment brings the total number of Nordecke seats to more than 2,000 for the first time in MAPFRE Stadium history.
As a Columbus Crew SC Season Ticket Member, supporters have exclusive benefits and team access, headlined by the Membership Community program that allows supporters to select a membership group (business, family or social) and then receive specifically tailored benefits. Other benefits include access to exclusive events such as Crew SC Fest; an exclusive Season Ticket Member gift; a dedicated client services representative; discounted parking options and member pricing on additional single-match tickets; a discount at the Crew SC Shop; and purchase priority for potential MLS Cup Playoff matches and other MAPFRE Stadium events.
