2015 MasterCard Memorial Cup Hero Anthony Cirelli, Signs with The Tampa Bay Lightning.

Cirelli played a prominent role in winning the Memorial Cup for the Generals in 2015. He scored both goals, including the overtime winner over the Kelowna Rockets. Cirelli is a hard-working center who takes to the ice, and finds a way to make a difference.

Cirelli who was the first of three Generals taken in the 2015 NHL draft, was picked up in the third round, 75th overall by the Lightning. The 6'1, 180 lb centre signed with the Oshawa Generals as a free agent at the start of the 2014/2015 season. He quickly became a reliable two-way player for the Gens.

Nearing the end of his second season with the Oshawa Generals the 18 year old became the captain of the franchise. Scoring a total of 21 goals and 59 points. On April 15, 2016 Cirelli played his first pro game for the Syracuse Crunch, in a match-up against Cole Cassels and the Utica Comets.
