LOVES PARK, IL - The Rockford Aviators have announced the start times for each of their 2015 home games.
After polling the Aviators fan base through a contest on Facebook, the voice of the fans came through loud and clear that they wanted earlier start times during the week.
The 2015 schedule will look like this:
Games held on Tuesday through Thursday nights will begin at 6:35 p.m.
Friday or Saturday night games will begin at 7:05 pm.
Sunday home games will begin at 3:05 p.m.
"We want our fans to have a great time at our stadium," said Aviators General Manager Brad Sholes. "We wanted to try some different things this year and we let our fans decide what time they wanted the games to be. We are really excited about the earlier start times and I think our fans will be as well."
There are only two exceptions to the normal start times. The first will be on Wednesday, May 27, the Aviators will be holding their annual Education Day at Aviators Stadium and the game will begin at 10:05 a.m. The other non-traditional start time will be on Wednesday, July 8 for Splash Day and the game will begin at 12:05 p.m.
This season, there are no scheduled double-headers on the 2015 calendar. The only time the team would play a double-header at home this season would be the result of a rain-out on a previous night.
The Aviators begin their 2015 campaign on May 15 on the road against the Gateway Grizzlies. Opening Day at Aviators Stadium will be May 19 as the Aviators host the Traverse City Beach Bums.
