2014 MLL Champion Outlaws Set to Partake in Several Weekend Festivities

DENVER - The 2014 MLL Champion Denver Outlaws return to Denver this weekend to partake in several weekend festivities, highlighted by a scrimmage against the University of Denver's men's lacrosse team and on-field recognition during the Denver Broncos game against the San Francisco 49ers.
On Saturday at 1 p.m. the Outlaws will scrimmage the Pioneers in the Sixth Annual Colorado Lacrosse Showcase at Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium. Prior to the scrimmage the team will be fitted for their 2014 MLL Championship rings.
Tickets for the Sixth Annual Colorado Lacrosse Showcase are on sale now. Admission is $5, and fans can purchase tickets by phone at 303-871-2336, in person at the Ritchie Center box office or through DenverPioneers.com by clicking here.
Following the scrimmage on Saturday, the Outlaws are hosting two sold-out clinics with instruction from current Denver Outlaws players, with both clinics occurring simultaneously from 4-5 p.m. on the turf at Peter Barton Stadium.
The team will have a leisurely golf outing Sunday morning before heading to Sports Authority Field at Mile High to watch the Broncos (4-1) take on the 49ers (4-2) on NBC's Sunday Night Football. Major League Lacrosse Founder Jake Steinfeld will be in attendance and join the team for the game.
The Outlaws will partake in an on-field recognition highlighting the franchise's 2014 MLL Championship title during the first half of the Broncos game, and will have the Steinfeld Trophy on-site.
Denver topped the Rochester Rattlers by a 12-11 count in a thrilling come-from-behind victory capped off by a six-goal fourth-quarter performance on Aug. 23, 2014. The victory marked the franchise's first MLL Championship. It was Denver's fifth MLL Championship appearance nine years as a franchise-the Outlaws are the only MLL franchise to make the playoffs in each year of existence.
