2011 Bradenton Marauders Schedule Released

Bradenton, Fla. - The Bradenton Marauders today announced the release of their 2011 schedule. The team will open the season on the road against the South-Division Champion Charlotte Stone Crabs on Thursday, April 7, 2011. The Marauders' home opener at McKechnie Field will be the following evening at 6:30 p.m. against the same team.

Bradenton will be matched up at home against travel partner Charlotte 10 times next season including a three-game series to close out the year on Sunday, September 4th , at 10 a.m. The club will host the remaining South Division teams -

Ft. Myers, St. Lucie and Palm Beach - in nine contests.

The Marauders are scheduled to play each of the North Division teams in a four-game series once in 2011 with Clearwater, Dunedin and Brevard County appearing in the first half and Lakeland, Daytona and Tampa coming in for the second half. Bradenton will play both of the team's eight-game home stands against North Division teams.

The team's scheduled start times are different from last season. Tuesday games will start at 6:00 p.m. to accommodate the First Mates Kids Club, and Sunday games will now begin at 5:00 p.m. The later Sunday start was a direct reflection of fan requests and comments. Saturday games will begin at 6:00 and all other games will follow a 7:00 start with the exception of opening night.

The Marauders have also added two additional day games to the schedule this season. The team is planning an Education Day on Monday, April 25, 2011 for area elementary and middle schools and two camp days on June 22nd and July 20th for area day camps and recreation programs.

Season and group tickets are now on sale for the Marauders 2011 season. Season tickets are $210 for a 70 game season and come with numerous benefits including the ability to turn in unused tickets to the box office for general admission tickets to a future game. Groups start with as few as 15 people and include a free souvenir cup and voucher for a soda fill-up.
