2009 All-Star Game Tickets On Sale Now

Lake Elsinore, CA- The Lake Elsinore Storm announced that as of Tuesday, April 21, individual tickets for the 2009 California/Carolina League All-Star Game are on sale. All tickets will cost $12.

For 12 of the last 13 seasons, the California and Carolina League's have been playing against each other in the mid-season classic. "We are very excited to be hosting the All-Star Game for the second time. It is an honor to be able to showcase our facility to everyone who is going to be involved," said Lake Elsinore Storm Vice President and General Manager Chris Jones. "Fans should be excited that it is in their backyard once again. It is a rare chance for them to witness the best up and coming talent that the two leagues have to offer."

Two of the 12 All-Star Games have ended in a tie, once in 1996 and again in 2002. Of the ten decided games, the Carolina League leads the California League six wins to four.

Since 2005, the Lake Elsinore Storm has produced 14 All-Stars:

2005 - Jared Wells, George Kottaras

2006 - Mike Ekstrom, Neil Jamison, Chase Headley

2007 - Kyle Blanks, Manny Ayala, Matt Antonelli, Wade LeBlanc, Chad Huffman, David Freese

2008 - Sam Carter, Cedric Hunter, Eric Sogard

On average, over 5,719 fans per year have witnessed the California/Carolina League All-Star Game.
