The Lakeland Tigers Baseball Camps that were so successful in 2005 are back for 2006. The camps are open to children ages 7-14 and will feature Tigers manager Mike Rojas as well as Lakeland Tigers players and coaches. Campers will learn baseball fundamentals and receive instruction that benefits players of all skill levels. No baseball experience is necessary and the camps are open to boys and girls. The 2006 camps are sponsored by Regal Automotive Group of Lakeland and presented by Sports & Fitness Magazine.

The first camp gets underway on June 5th and runs through June 7th. Camp #2 runs from June 22nd-23rd. The sessions last from 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM each day. The cost for camp #1 is $100 and camp #2 is $75. Children can attend both camps for $150.

The camps take place at Joker Marchant Stadium, the Spring Training home of the Detroit Tigers and the home of the Lakeland Tigers. Every camper will receive a camp t-shirt, lunch each day, and tickets to a Lakeland Tigers home game.

The Lakeland Tigers are in the midst of their 2006 season. Season tickets are on sale now as well as individual game tickets. The Tigers offer free parking and affordable family entertainment. Tickets are also on sale for the Florida State League All-Star Game. The game will be played on June 17th, 2006 at Joker Marchant Stadium.
