
11 Former Stampede Players Skating in NCAA Tournament

Sioux Falls, SD--The Sioux Falls Stampede will once again be well represented during the 2016 NCAA Men's Ice Hockey Tournament. The Herd have 11 former players skating in the tourney with a chance to bring home a national title. In addition, former head coaches Bob Motzko (1999-2001) and Mark Kaufman (2003-05). Motzko is the head coach of the St. Cloud State Huskies, winners of the NCHC, while Kaufman is an assistant at Ferris State, winners of the WCHA.
Quinnipiac, St. Cloud State, North Dakota and Providence are the #1 seeds of their respective regions. The tournament begins on Friday at four different regional sites: Albany, New York., Worcester, Massachusetts, St. Paul, Minnesota, and Cincinnati, Ohio.
