Blades Acquire Burly Defenceman Thurston in Trade with Rebels
October 24, 2025 - Saskatoon, SK - The Saskatoon Blades added more depth to the blueline Friday acquiring 19-year-old defenceman Derek Thurston from the Red Deer Rebels in exchange for 2008-born forward Kohen Lodge and a conditional fifth-round pick in the 2028 Western Hockey League (WHL) Prospects Draft.

4 Rookies Signed for 2025/26 Season
October 23, 2025 - Saskatoon, SK - We have signed three 2025 draft picks and one 2024 draft pick for the 2025/26 season.
Three 2025 draft picks have been signed, including first-round pick Levi Verch, second-round pick Julien Belair, and 6th round pick Dagan Carlson.
Verch, a 6'2 left-handed defender, spent the 2025 season with the Saint Joseph's Hawks. Verch recorded 28 caused turnovers in 15 games with the Hawks.

Rush Bringing Back 12 Players for 2025/26 Season
October 23, 2025 - Saskatoon, SK - General Manager Derek Keenan had a busy Thursday, signing 11 returning players for the 2025/26 season.
Manns returns after recording 35 goals and 74 points in 18 regular-season games, both marks leading the team. He added 10 goals and 27 points in 6 playoff games on the team's run to the NLL finals.
Haley enters his second year with the team after recording 16 goals and 43 points, both marks ranking fifth in rookie scoring for the 2024/25 season.

Blades Sign 6-Foot-1 Blueliner Dumas to WHL Scholarship Agreement
October 23, 2025 - Saskatoon, SK - The Saskatoon Blades are excited to announce the signing of 2009-born defenceman Luke Dumas to a Western Hockey League (WHL) Scholarship and Development Agreement.
The 15-year-old blueliner was acquired by the Blades via trade in January from the Prince George Cougars. Dumas came to 'Toon Town in the same deal that brought Calgary Flames draft pick Hunter Laing to the Bridge City.
