Hens Earn Series Split with 6-2 Win over Iowa

July 5, 2026 - On a dreary Sunday afternoon, the Hens and Cubs wrapped up their six-game series. After a 45-minute weather delay, Toledo entered the finale trailing the series 3-2. Despite a few missed opportunities to put points on the board, the Hens pulled away from the Cubs just enough to come out on top in this nail-biter of a game, 7-6. July 3, 2026 - Toledo, OH - The Toledo Mud Hens (40-43) fell to the Iowa Cubs (34-47) on Thursday, July 2, in back-and-forth contest that stayed close through the entire night. The lead was never greater than two runs for both teams yet Iowa finished the night ahead, 6-4. Matt Seelinger started on the bump by dealing a pair of strikeouts and a groundout.
