December 19, 2013 - Last weekend review - Bees earn three points against Brahmas The Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees picked up three points last weekend in a pair of games against the Lone Star Brahmas. The Bees shut out the Brahmas 2-0 in the first game of the series before falling 4-3 in a shootout in the second game. The Bees won the first game last weekend behind second-period power play goals by Anthony Croston and Sean Mostrom. Goalie Nick Schmit did the rest, stopping all 22 shots he faced. December 12, 2013 - Last weekend was a success for the Killer Bees, who earned three out of a possible four points in a 2-game home series against the Wichita Falls Wildcats. The Bees won the first game of the series 3-0 before falling in the second game in a shootout, 2-1. Evan Schmidbauer, Dean Balsamo and Anthony Croston each scored a goal in the first game of the series, and Olli Kalkaja stopped all 16 shots he faced to earn his second shutout of the season. December 6, 2013 - Last weekend in review The Killer Bees suffered a 5-3 loss on the road last Friday to Odessa Jackalopes but bounced back the following night with a 3-2 shootout win over the Lone Star Brahmas.
