Near-Record Crowd on Hand for Inaugural Season Finale

March 29, 2014 - St. Charles, Mo - Over 6,000 fans came out to support the Chill for their inaugural season finale but it was the Quad City Mallards who took control of the game in the second period and pulled away in the third for a final score of 5-0 on Saturday night. The Chill (11-49-6) fed off the energy of 6,542 fans in the house but could not cash in on a couple of early quality scoring chances before Quad City (32-23-10) got things going offensively. March 28, 2014 - St. Charles, Mo - The Mallards raced out to a 3-0 first period lead and stretched it to 4-0 in the early stages of the second but the Chill scored three-straight to close within one goal before Quad City answered with three of their own to finish the game with a 7-3 win. March 25, 2014 - Independence, Mo. - The Chill got off to a solid start in the first period but the Mavericks took control in the first period and rode the momentum the rest of the way to clinch home-ice advantage in the playoffs with an 8-0 win over St. Charles. Missouri (44-17-2) got things going after St. Charles (11-47-6) got off to a good start on offense but could not crack the scoreboard. March 23, 2014 - Tulsa, Okla. - Rookie TJ Moor scored for the second straight game but the Chill could not overcome an early 2-0 deficit and would lose to the Oilers by a final of 6-3 Sunday night. It was a tightly played game in the first half of the opening period with shots event at 8-8 midway but Tulsa (32-28-3) turned up the offensive pressure, taking a 1-0 lead at the 14:35 mark on a power play goal from Ryan Menei and stretching that lead to 2-0 just over three minutes later when Kyle Bochek scored.
