Curran Resigns Position with Mallards

April 25, 2007 - Moline, IL-The Quad City Mallards today announced that General Manager and Head Coach Brian Curran has resigned from his position with the team. Curran went 78-55-19 over two seasons at the helm of the Mallards. During the 2007-08 season, the Mallards went 37-28-11 under Curran's direction before being eliminated from the United Hockey League post-season by the Rockford IceHogs. April 23, 2007 - Moline, IL- The Mallards 2007 playoff run ended on Sunday afternoon with an 8-4 loss to Rockford at The Metrocentre. The IceHogs victory in Game Five capped the best-of-seven series. Three Mallards Named to 2006-07 UHL All-Rookie Team

April 16, 2007 - Moline, IL-The United Hockey League today announced the 2006-07 UHL All-Rookie Team. Three Mallards earned placement on the team as Brett Pilkington and Justin Chwedoruk drew recognition as forwards while Dale Lupul was named to the team as a defenseman. The 2006-07 Mallards are just the third team in UHL history to place three players on the All-Rookie Team. April 16, 2007 - Moline, IL- The Mallards return to The MARK this week for Games Three and Four of the Western Conference Semifinal Series with the Rockford IceHogs. Quad City trails the series two games to none following losses at The Metrocentre in Games One and Two. On Friday night, the Mallards suffered a 6-2 defeat as the Rockford attack was led by Preston Mizzi, who recorded two goals and an assist.
