April 11, 2009 - The ending of the season wasn't what the Iowa Chops wanted, as the Quad City Flames spoiled the Chops season finale with a 5-3 defeat, but the night of recognition and awareness on Saturday was hard to ignore as a new record crowd of 12,136 fans watched the Chops finish their inaugural season.

April 11, 2009 - Despite a season-high 44 saves from goaltender JP evasseur, the Iowa Chops fell for the 10th time this season in a shootout Friday night in Quad City against the Flames, 3-2.
