CLEVELAND (Saturday, April 23, 2005) – In the Wave's last regular season road game, the Cleveland Force was able to take the victory at the Wolstein Convocation Center, 6-4. Milwaukee returns home to U.S. Cellular Arena tomorrow at 1 p.m. with hopes of defeating the Baltimore Blast for the regular season championship.

The Cleveland Force got the early lead as Antonio Sutton took the pass from Gary DePalma at 2:24. Sutton tallied his fourth career goal versus the Wave - and only goal for the first quarter - past Wave goalkeeper Nick Vorberg.

The second period of play began (2:41) with a misconduct penalty on Wave defender, rookie Chad Dombrowski. Approximately 10 minutes later (13:03), Milwaukee answered Cleveland's score with an unassisted goal by Johnny Torres, who sent a low bouncer off the left post past Cleveland's keeper Jim Larkin. After battling back and forth, the first half of competition ended with a tied score, 1-1.

The Force opened up the second half of the match with a restart goal by Aaron Susi at 2:21 of the third. Cleveland then scored back-to-back power-play goals. Susi (7:26) was assisted by John Ball after Milwaukee's Ricardinho received a penalty for elbowing at 6:51. Ball then tallied an unassisted, power-play goal (10:02) after Chris Morman was called for tripping (8:07).

Adauto Neto keep Cleveland's momentum going as he scored another goal for the Force at 16 seconds into the last period of regulation. Angel Rivillo then put a stop to Cleveland's streak, with a goal at 2:34. This was followed up with another Wave goal by Chris Morman, after his shot bounced back to him off the cross bar to the top of the line (3:07). Wave captain Michael King then gave the assist to Greg Howes for the goal at 5:41, cutting Cleveland's lead down to one. Cleveland then increased its lead by scoring the third power-play goal as converted by Neto at 9:17 to end the scoring for the night.
