ASHEVILLE-- Bryse Wilson pitched the Rome Braves to a victory against the Asheville Tourists back on May 23. Sunday afternoon, the right-hander did it again. Rome bested Asheville in a low-scoring afternoon affair 3-1.

Vince Fernandez was the only Tourists player to reach base against Wilson. Asheville's outfielder was hit by a pitch in the second inning and hit a solo Home Run in the bottom of the fourth to break a 0-0 tie.

Rome responded with an unearned run in the top of the fifth to tie the game back up 1-1. Ty Culbreth finished the fifth inning with the game still tied and Asheville's bullpen took over. Justin Ellison gave the Braves the lead with a lead-off Home Run in the seventh. Rome added one more in the eighth on a sacrifice fly.

In the bottom of the ninth, Manny Melendez led off the frame with a single to right. It was Asheville's second and final hit of the game. Wilson finished with seven innings pitched while Adam McCreery tossed the final two frames to earn the save.

The Tourists have scored a total of three runs over their last four home games. All three runs have come courtesy of solo Home Runs. Asheville will attempt to avoid being swept by the Braves for the second time this year with Monday's series finale scheduled for 7:05pm.
