Westchester Knicks News Release
WHITE PLAINS, NY - The Westchester Knicks, the official NBA Development League affiliate of the New York Knickerbockers, announced today the acquisition of returning player Doron Lamb. He is expected to be available in tonight's match-up in Greensboro.
Lamb (6-4, 200) was originally signed to Westchester via a trade with the Texas Legends on Feb. 19, 2015. In 14 games for Westchester, Lamb averaged 17.7 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 2.4 assists over 40 minutes per game before being placed on waivers due to a season-ending injury. Lamb recorded a franchise-high 40 points on March 12, 2015, a record that still stands. Originally selected by the Milwaukee Bucks with the 42nd overall pick of the 2012 NBA Draft, Lamb has appeared in 100 career NBA games with Milwaukee and Orlando.
Westchester also announced the release of guard Max Hooper. Hooper, the team's first-round pick of the 2016 NBA D- League Draft, played a total of eight minutes in one game for Westchester.
The Westchester Knicks will tip-off its third season at the historic Westchester County Center in White Plains, NY on Saturday, Nov. 19 at 5:00 p.m., facing the Greensboro Swarm, the Charlotte Hornets' new affiliate. The game will be broadcast live on MSG Networks and Facebook Live.
