
Westchester Knicks Outlast BayHawks in Erie

ERIE, PA - The Westchester Knicks (18-26), the official NBA Development League affiliate of the New York Knickerbockers, defeated the Erie BayHawks (13-32), the Orlando Magic's affiliate, with a 116-104 road win.
On assignment from the New York Knicks, forward Maurice Ndour led all scorers with 27 points, notching a double-double with 10 rebounds on top of four steals. John Jenkins was right on his heels with 26 points, connecting on 4-of-6 from downtown. Returning from injury, Travis Trice II contributed 17 points, seven assists, and six rebounds. Doron Lamb and Keith Wright each chipped in an additional 11 points. Damien Inglis exited the game in the second quarter and is awaiting prognosis upon x-ray results.
Gabe York paced Erie from the bench with 24 points, while his teammates Shevon Thompson and Branden Dawson contributed 12 points apiece from the pine. TJ Price supplied 18 points with seven rebounds, and Stefan Jankovic contributed 12 points with three rebounds.
An evenly matched game for the majority of the bout, the teams traded a total of 26 leads and found themselves tied 19 times. After the first two quarters, Westchester and Erie were knotted at 62 behind nice shooting from both sides; the visitors shooting 58 percent and the home team shooting 54 percent. The largest lead of the game saw the Knicks ahead by 10 until the fourth quarter.
The BayHawks fell victim to a poor fourth quarter, unable to keep pace with Westchester, with its shooting percentage dropping to 37 percent and going 0-for-5 from the arc. The Knicks stayed hot, and a 15-point performance from assignee Maurice Ndour in the final 12 minutes sealed the deal for Westchester as they took a 116-104 win.
The Westchester Knicks will continue on the road playing the Windy City Bulls, the Chicago Bulls' affiliate, next on Tuesday, March 21 for an 8:00 p.m. ET matchup. The game will be broadcast on MSG Networks and streamed live on Facebook Live.
