Westchester Knicks News Release

WHITE PLAINS, NY - The Westchester Knicks (19-29), the official NBA Development League affiliate of the New York Knickerbockers, snapped a three-game losing streak with a 108-105 win over the Canton Charge (29-19), the Cleveland Cavaliers' affiliate.

All five Knicks starters scored in double-digits. Travis Trice II led Westchester with 26 points, hitting 8-of-13 while contributing eight assists. In his first game as a New York Knicks assignee, Chasson Randle recorded a double-double with 23 points and 10 assists. Fellow assignee Marshall Plumlee also had a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds, while Maurice Ndour dropped 18 points with six rebounds and two blocked shots. Doron Lamb also chipped in 15 points.

John Holland led Canton with 28 points, and also dished out six assists. Eric Moreland recorded a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds; Jonathan Holmes also adding 10 points while grabbing seven rebounds. Former Westchester guard Jordon Crawford poured in 14 points against his former team while Cameron Jones had 17 points and seven rebounds off the bench.

With three New York Knicks assignees in its starting lineup, Westchester rolled out to an early lead. Canton managed to battle back though, and got the better of the Knicks for the remainder of the first quarter. Westchester trailed by nine at the start of the second, but that deficit was short-lived after some well-balanced scoring. Four different players managed knock shots down from three for the Knicks during the quarter, Westchester also tightening up its defense during the race to the half and holding Canton to only 13 points. The Knicks owned an eight-point lead heading into halftime.

Both teams pushed each other to the brim at the start of the third quarter. Westchester never trailed, but the Charge remained hot on its trail. Canton nailed five of its six shots from beyond the arc, and hit 63 percent from the field. But at the end of three, the Knicks were holding onto a two-point lead. That lead grew to as many as 13 during the final period.

Canton hit seven three-pointers, but Westchester remained unfazed, shooting 61 percent from the field. The Charge got to within three points of the Knicks' lead in the game's final minutes, but Westchester was able to ride it out and walked away with the victory.

The Westchester Knicks are back home at the historic Westchester County Center on Thursday, March 30 to face the Grand Rapids Drive, the Detroit Pistons' affiliate, at 7:00 p.m. ET. The game will be broadcast on MSG Networks and streamed on Facebook Live.
