Westchester Knicks Acquire Douby, Waive Kromah

WHITE PLAINS, NY - The Westchester Knicks, the official NBA Development League affiliate of the New York Knickerbockers, announced today the team has signed guard Quincy Douby. He is expected to be in uniform for tomorrow's home opener against Greensboro.

A native of the Coney Island section of Brooklyn, Douby (6-3, 175) was the 19th overall pick of the 2006 NBA draft. He appeared in 143 NBA games between Sacramento and Toronto, averaging 4.1 points and 1.0 rebounds, before playing internationally over six seasons in China and Turkey. Douby spent three years at Rutgers University where he averaged 17.8 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 2.7 assists over 95 games.

Additionally, the team has waived guard Lasan Kromah.

Kromah (6-6, 205) was selected in the third round (60th overall) of the 21016 NBA D-League Draft. He appeared in two games for Westchester averaging 8.0 points and 2.5 rebounds over 14.0 minutes per game.

The Westchester Knicks will tip-off its third season at the historic Westchester County Center in White Plains, NY tomorrow, Nov. 19 at 5:00 p.m., facing the Greensboro Swarm, the Charlotte Hornets' new affiliate. The game will be broadcast live on MSG Networks and Facebook Live.
