Warriors to Host Bighorns and Stars

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. - The Santa Cruz Warriors will play one home preseason game against the Reno Bighorns and the Salt Lake City Stars (formerly the Idaho Stampede) in a three-way preseason game on Sunday, Nov. 6 at 3 p.m. at Kaiser Permanente Arena. The exhibition game will consist of six 12-minute quarters with each team playing a total of two quarters apiece. There will be a 15 minute halftime/warmup between halves, with 10 minutes allotted for the sitting team and five additional minutes for opponents. The timeout limit for the first quarter of each half will be waived. Quarters one, three and five will be designated as "teaching quarters" in which the timeout limit will be removed. Santa Cruz will play the first two quarters of the preseason game against the Salt Lake City Stars. The Warriors will then face Reno in the third and fourth quarters. To close the tri-game, Reno and Salt Lake City will play each other in the fifth and sixth quarters. Preseason tickets will go on sale to the general public on Friday, Oct. 28 at 12:00 p.m. with tickets starting as low as $9 and floor seats starting at $35. Tickets can be purchased at www.santacruzbasketball.com. The 2016-17 season opens at Kaiser Permanente Arena on Saturday, Nov. 12 at 7:00 p.m. against the Los Angeles D-Fenders. All fans in attendance on Opening Night will receive a Warriors T-shirt and the first 1,500 fans will also receive a Warriors Rally Towel, both presented by Kaiser Permanente. Other promotional highlights include Stephen Curry Bobblehead Night (first 1,500 fans) on November 25, Draymond Green Bobblehead Night (first 1,500 fans) on December 27, and Kevin Durant Bobblehead Night (first 1,500 fans) on January 11, 2017. For Warriors fans wanting to secure the best seat locations to home games, the team recommends becoming a Season Ticket Holder, as only 30 premium locations remain. In addition to season and single-game tickets, Santa Cruz Warriors Mini Plans, a series of partial season ticket packages created to fit every fan's schedule and budget with the best remaining seat locations at Kaiser Permanente Arena, are now available.
