
Warriors Partner with Movie Director Andrew Dillon to Host Casting Call for Feature Film 'Hope Dance

WHO: Santa Cruz Warriors and HOPE DANCES Director Andrew Dillon
WHAT: HOPE DANCES, a feature film being shot in Santa Cruz in May and June is casting for a variety of roles for the movie. The inspiring story is centered around Hope, an 11 year-old girl, who is torn between aspirations and a love for both baseball and ballet. She must choose between satisfying her parents' wishes versus finding her own way.
WHERE: Kaiser Permanente Arena

WHEN: Wednesday, May 25 - 1:30-5:00 p.m.
From 1:30-3:30 p.m. girls ages 9-13 with dance experience and/or softball playing experience are encouraged to audition at the open casting. Dancers should come dressed in athletic/dance attire. 1:30 p.m. arrival time is suggested.
From 3:00pm-5:00pm children (8-14) and adults of all ages (20 years+) are welcome to attend the casting for a variety roles as extras in the movie! No previous acting experience is necessary.
DETAILS:
Activities for kids and adults alike will be going on at Kaiser Permanente Arena during the audition. There will also be an ongoing silent auction and raffle prize drawings during the event to benefit the Central Coast nonprofit, California Academy of Film. Every kid that comes out to the casting will receive a raffle ticket for the drawing!
