The Minnesota Timberwolves announced Wednesday they have signed Raptors 905 forward-centre Greg Smith for the remainder of the 2015-16 season.
Smith signed a 10-day contract with Minnesota on March 2, then signed a second 10-day contract March 12. In nine games with the Timberwolves, he is averaging 2.3 points, 2.2 rebounds and 10.4 minutes. In 140 career NBA regular season games with Houston (2011-14), Dallas (2014-15) and Minnesota, Smith has averaged 4.1 points, 3.3 rebounds and 12.4 minutes.
In 17 games with Raptors 905 this season (12 starts), Smith averaged 12.6 points, 8.0 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 28.1 minutes. He scored in double digits 12 times and recorded six double-doubles.
