TIGER-CATS TO LAUNCH 2017 BeFIT PROGRAM PRESENTED BY SUMMER FRESH ON MONDAY
WHO: Tiger-Cats players, including offensive lineman Mike Filer, defensive end Adrian Tracy, defensive backs Craig Butler and Mike Daly, and linebacker Terrell Davis Tiger-Cats mascot Stripes
WHAT: The Hamilton Tiger-Cats will launch the team's 2017 BeFit program presented by Summer Fresh. *Interview and photo opportunities available*
WHEN: Monday, February 27, 2017 - 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.
WHERE: Regina Mundi Catholic Elementary School 675 Mohawk Rd. W. Hamilton, ON L9C 1X7
WHY: Since 2010, BeFit has strived to educate the youth of Hamilton and surrounding region on the importance of living a healthy and active lifestyle. As part of this initiative, Tiger-Cats players and coaches have made hundreds of appearances at local schools and community centres, touching the lives of nearly 80,000 youth in the process. The community program, which focuses on the importance of eating properly and exercising, has grown annually since its inception. This year will include over 20 in-school visits culminating with the inaugural BeFit Day at Tim Hortons Field on Tuesday, May 16.
