
Three Players Sign With Rough Riders

Peoria Rough Riders News Release
Peoria Rough Riders Head Coach and Director of Football Operations Chuck Goowdwin announced today the signings of three more players. WR Dan Musielewicz, WR Bobby Miller and DB Donald Woodard Jr. will suit up for the Riders in 2006.
Dan Musielewicz will return for his second campaign with the Rough Riders. The 5' 11", 185 lbs. wide receiver played in two games for Peoria last season, catching 7 balls for 41 yards. Musielewicz has a four-year starter at NCAA Division II Hillsdale College in Hillsdale, Michigan. Dan finished his career as a Charger with 113 receptions, which ranks him in the top 5 in school history.
Joining Musielewicz in the receiving corps will be Bobby Miller. The Naperville native attended NCAA Division III North Central College. Bobby played four years for the Cardinals and earned 2nd team All-College Conference of Illinois-Wisconsin honors for his play as a free safety his junior season. This past fall Miller was the leading receiver for the Semi-Pro Chicago Thunder, which won the Mid States Football League.
Helping defend the Rough Rider end zones will be 5' 10", 180 lbs. DB Donald Woodard Jr. The former Olivet Nazarene Tiger was an All-Mid-States Football Conference performer as a defensive back in 2002 and 2003. Woodard also earned NAIA All-American Honorable Mention in 2003.

- The Peoria Rough Riders will be holding their second open tryouts on January 27, 2006 at the Morton Soccer Forum. Cost is $30 if you pre-register by January 26th, $40 the day of the tryout. To pre-register or for more information call the Rough Rider office at (309) 637-7777
- Tuesday January 31, 2006, Peoria Rough Riders Players, Coaches and staff will be making an appearance at the Children's Hospital of Illinois from 2:30 P.M. to 4:00 P.M.
- Sunday, February 5th members of the 2006 Peoria Rough Riders will attend a Superbowl Party at American Pi, 5720 North Knoxville Ave. in Peoria. More details will be released at a later date.
