When asked about the local pool of talent Head Coach Ted Schmitz said, "This just shows how big football is around here, being able to get a team together of this caliber, and having them all come from the same area speaks volumes about the community."
Quarterback Matthew Holem joins the Extreme with three years of pro-ball under his belt. Coming in at 6'0" 200 lbs, Holem has played for the Tennesee Thundercats, the Texas Thunder, and just up the road for the Quad City Steamwheelers.
Coming from nearby Lexington, Kicker Doug Higgins joins the Extreme on special teams. Playing his collegiate career at the U of I, Higgens was the Special Teams Player of the Year holding the record for most consecutive point-after-attempts at 56.
Wide Receiver Bryson Brownlee joins the list of former Wesleyan Titans playing for the Extreme this season. At 5'10" 190 lbs Brownlee arrives after three years of Titan football, catching passes from recently signed teammate Thomas Kudyba.
