
Texas' Quincy Acy Signs with Brooklyn Nets

FRISCO, TX- The Brooklyn Nets today signed Texas Legends forward Quincy Acy for the 8th GATORADE Call-Up of the 2016-17 NBA Development League season.
Acy (6-7, 240, Baylor) appeared in 12 games for the Legends this season averaging 17.3 points, 8.2 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 1.6 steals, and 2.1 blocks. Acy was acquired by the Legends in November via a trade with the Los Angeles D-Fenders.
Acy was drafted in the 2nd round (37th overall) of the 2012 NBA Draft by the Toronto Raptors. In 225 career NBA games he has averaged 4.5 points, 3.5 rebounds in 15.1 minutes. Acy joined the Dallas Mavericks training camp this year and saw action in six games of the regular season with the Mavericks averaging 2.2 points, 1.3 rebounds in 8.0 minutes per game. Acy spent four years at Baylor averaging 9.8 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks and earning Big 12 honors every season.
"We're very excited for Quincy getting another opportunity with an NBA team," said Legends head coach Bob MacKinnon. "He took great advantage of his time with the Legends in the 12 games he played for us and in practice. His overall game and work ethic propelled him to this Call-Up."
Acy is expected to join the Nets today and be available when the team hosts the Atlanta Hawks tonight at the Barclays Center.
