Strong First Half Powers Force over Legends

SIOUX FALLS, SD- The Sioux Falls Skyforce (15-5) powered out 79 points in the first half to ultimately rout the Texas Legends (10-8) 148-122.
Sioux Falls dominated the first quarter, sinking 75% of their shots (50% outside) to take a 46-27 lead. Briante Weber was a perfect 6-for-6 to add 14 first-quarter points for the home team. The shooting cooled off in the second, but the Skyforce remained ahead, doubling the Legends' rebounds 22-11 and heading to the locker room with a 22-point advantage.
Gary Neal, in his first game with the Legends, came out of the locker room firing for 11 third-quarter points as the Legends outscored the Skyforce 37-34. Texas pulled within 13 with seconds to play in the third, but Sioux Falls retained a double-digit lead through the final buzzer.
The Legends had six players in double-digits while Sioux Falls finished with seven. Manny Harris led all with 28 points and added 5 rebounds, 5 assists, 4 steals, and a block. Kyle Collinsworth had a game-high 17 rebounds along with 16 points, 5 assists, and 6 steals. Jameel Warney went 9-of-16 for 18 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 blocks, and Neal added 18 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists.
Keith Benson led the Skyforce with 25 points, 12 rebounds, while Weber grabbed 23 points and dished out a game-high 10 assists. Denver Nuggets assignee Juan Hernangomez also tallied a double-double at 17 points, 11 rebounds while teammate Malik Beasley finished with 16 points, 3 rebounds.
